A new art prize of $3,000

Celebrating 21 years of bringing art and culture to the Mary Valley, the Mary Valley Arts Festival Committee is pleased to present a new $3,000 Art Prize to sponsor Ron Jeffrey Realty.

Best in Show – The Ron Jeffery Realty Award offers automatic entry to any artist who has submitted artwork to the Mary Valley Art Festival. The festival has 10 sections with total prizes of approximately $12,000.

Jeffrey’s participation in the festival inspired him over the years to sponsor the award.

“Artists add a level of culture to our world,” he said.

“They are passionate about the work they produce and have the ability to present their vision of everyday life, showcasing the people, places, things and events that define our world.

“Regardless of an individual’s level of education or skill, each piece is the result of the artist’s passion.”

Ron, who has been a lead sponsor for many years, said he was proud to gradually raise his level of support.

“We partner with Mary Valley Artslink to strengthen and support the art community. I admire artists and their art…because they make our world a better place! “

Major prizes also include the $1,500 Bendigo Bank Open Award and the Highly Commended Open Division Award, sponsored by the Mary Valley Chamber of Commerce for $1000.

The festival is coordinated by Marie Valley Artslink and runs July 21-24 at Emble Public Hall from 10am to 3pm daily. Contest entry closes on June 27.
